Serve City 4v4 Small Group Tournament Talia Barbera
Saturday, November 7
11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Teams meet with tournament director to go over rules at 10:50 a.m.
Tournament location: Vineyard Church, 1900 Manchester Rd., Wheaton
$18 early bird price per player
Teams can have either four or five players on their roster
Four players can play at a time (if five players are on a team, one player is off the court at a time)
Details about the tournament:
Each team plays three 30-minute matches (best of 3 sets to 15) in a round-robin format
The third-place match is at 1:45 p.m. (1 set to 25, must win by 2) and the finals is at 2:00 p.m. (1 set to 25, must win by 2)
One Serve City coach will act as the tournament referee and tournament director
Teams will coach themselves
Regular indoor volleyball match rules will be applied
Teams can call one 60-second timeout per match
Winning team wins swag :)
COVID social distancing and cleanliness guidelines will be followed
Families will need to fill out the online health screen at www.servecityvolleyball.org/health the night before the tournament
You can sign up as a four- or five-player team or you can register individually in order to be matched onto a team by Serve City
The first four full teams to sign up online will be guaranteed spots in the tournament
Spectators are not allowed due to state COVID indoor sports restrictions, but the tournament will be broadcast on Facebook Live with one parent volunteer’s help
